Sonia 12th Grade: ‍ ‍There is a whole world to explore outside of the USA, and Senegal showed me that. I got to travel to a historical place and meet so many friendly people, and built relationships easily with people my age. Being able to see how others who are like me live and having the opportunity to connect meant the world to me.

Nassima 12th Grade: Senegal has an entirely different atmosphere compared to the U.S. The people are more inviting,  every community is lively and warm, and the culture is rooted in hospitality and history.

Amir 10th Grade: The people in Senegal are extremely resolute. Whether it be when it comes to marketing or tourism, the Senegalese are willing to fully commit to whatever they’re doing.

Shawn 11th Grade: Africa has a rich culture and history completely separate from the stigma associated with it.

Jaislyn 11th Grade: ‍ ‍In Africa the community they have is a lot stronger. They are very welcoming. Also with Africa moving at such a slow pace it makes it easier to build  strong bonds with the people around you.
